Stereoscopic 3D
There are several stereoscopic formats used depending on the application and requirement, Most popular techniques for film are:
Anaglyphic
This requires red-green or red-blue 3D-Glasses. This are the most common format as no special equipment is required to display the image.
Digital stereo projection
A much more convincing result can be achieved by using 2 specially configured projectors with either "passive" polarized 3D glasses or "active" LCD shutter glasses.

The 60” 3D ad, appeared on 764 cinema screens across London and the South-East. Cinema goers collected branded 3D glasses before they entered the theatre and were entertained by a 2 minute introduction to air racing before the ad kicks off.
