Red Bull Air Race
Mediastation have produced the FIRST EVER 3D cinema ad to promote the arrival of the Red Bull Air Race World Series to London.

The 60” 3D ad, appeared 764 cinema screens across London and the South-East. Cinemagoers collected branded 3D glasses before they entered the theatre and were entertained by a 2 minute introduction to air racing before the ad kicks off.

There are several stereoscopic formats used depending on the application and requirement, Most popular techniques for film are:

Anaglyphic
This requires red-green or red-blue 3D-Glasses. This are the most common format as no special equipment is required to display the image.

Digital stereo projection
A much more convincing result can be achieved by using 2 specially configured projectors with either "passive" polarized 3D glasses or "active" LCD shutter glasses.
